Phoenix Stabilization and Transitional Living in Recovery, Short Transitional Access to Recovery

Provided by Phoenix Society

Short-term and long-term residential programs for men at risk of homelessness due to substance misuse.
Stabilization and Transitional Living in Recovery (STLR):
STLR is a 90-day integrated residential addiction program. If you live in the Fraser Health Authority catchment area covering the communities from Burnaby to Boston Bar, you may qualify for the Phoenix Stabilization and Transitional Living in Recovery Program. This 90-day program provides safe, structured and licensed residential addiction services. Using a bio-psycho-social-spiritual model, the program helps residents with health, well-being, housing, income, employment and quality of life. The program accepts applicants on opiate replacement therapies provided they are agreeable to being supervised by the Phoenix Centre’s sessional physician. The waitlist is typically 4 – 16 weeks.

Short Transitional Access to Recovery (STAR):
Phoenix Society’s Stabilization Program is a treatment program that is designed to support men and trans men who have completed withdrawal management and who may be waiting to enter an intensive residential service and supports program or who may have completed an intensive residential program. Short-term transitional access to recovery beds is designed to support clients requiring stabilization following completion of a withdrawal management program.
This program is for individuals who lack safe housing and would benefit from additional health and social support or services. It offers a clinically supported, safe, structured short stay to help improve individuals’ access to and engagement with health care and support services.

The cost for services is $70 / day to be paid in advance of receiving treatment. There are financial supports potential clients may be eligible to receive.
