The Community Garden program provides garden plots to members in the community.
If you are a garden society member you will have access to the communal plots at every garden:
- Simcoe Park – @ Simcoe Park- 8th and Royal
- St. Mary’s Park Garden, located at 85 Merivale Street (beside École Qayqayt Elementary School)
- City Hall Garden, located on the front lawn of New Westminster City Hall
The benefits of becoming a member of NWCGS are:
- the ability to garden in communal areas of the garden, as per the garden guidelines
- the ability to vote at the AGM, participate in the Steering Committee & Work Groups
- discount on NWCGS workshops
- regular updates on gardening initiatives and educational programs offered in the Lower Mainland
- ability to apply for a garden plot and get on the waitlist for NWCGS sites (please note: membership does not guarantee plot allotment; additional fees apply to individual and group/organizational plots)
