Connect Parent Program - For Parents of Children Dealing with Attachment Issues
Caregiver Support, Family / Parenting, and Mental Health - Child & Youth

A 10-week parenting program to support parents of preteens and teens with behavioural and emotional problems.
An evidence based, 10 week group for caregivers that focuses on strengthening the caregiver – child relationship. Based in Attachment Theory, this group helps parents learn new ways to understand and respond to their children’s emotional and behavioural challenges such as aggression, depression and anxiety. The program promotes social, emotional, and behavioural adjustment and attachment security in families, a critical foundation for overall wellbeing.
The program is offered both virtually and in person, and runs 3-4 times a year. An online version is also available.
Eligibility: For caregivers who have children between 9-18 years old. Open to anyone living in BC. Co-developed by the Maples Adolescent Treatment Centre and Simon Fraser University.
