Tech Buddies & Digital Literacy for Seniors - Surrey and White Rock

Provided by Brella Community Services Society (Formerly Seniors Come Share Society)

Offers one-on-one support to help older adults build digital skills and confidence using computers, smartphones, and other devices.
The Tech Buddies & Digital Literacy Program offers:
  • Brella Computer Station: Offers adults aged 55+ free access to computers for printing, social media, Zoom meetings, medical appointments, and more in a supportive environment.

  • Tech Buddies Program: Offers basic tech tutorials, which also includes lessons on IPads, tablets, computers, laptops, smart phones and overall features of social media. The “Tech Buddies” are available to meet you at the closest Surrey library or the South Surrey Brella location.

  • Help with Phone/Internet Plans: Provides one-on-one support to help individuals understand their phone plans and bills from providers like Telus, Shaw, and Rogers by reviewing documents and clearly explaining charges.

  • Computer Cleaning: Basic cleaning services for laptops, cell phones, keyboards, and other devices, ensuring they are safely and thoroughly cleaned to maintain optimal condition.

They also offer a diverse online events featuring engaging and accessible workshops, educational sessions, and activities on topics such as health and wellness, arts and culture, technology, and more. Online events are open to participants of all ages and backgrounds.
