Child and Youth with Support Needs

Programs that build life and social skills through activity based learning, socialization and community interaction. One to One and Group Services are available.
Programs:
  • One on one Services: Goal focused services for up to 1 year (for children and youth aged 6 - 18 years).
  • Active Group: Learning social and life skills through games and activities (for children 12 - 15 years old).
  • Teen Group: Practicing social and life skills through games and activities (for youths 15 - 18 years old).
  • Transition Group: Building a life and social skills through talk and peer support. (for teens 15 - 18 years).
  • Kids Group: Learning social and life skills through games and activities. (For children 6 - 13 years old).

Children and youth with support needs who live in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows are eligible. A referral from the Ministry of Child, Youth Family Development Children Youth Special Needs is required for children and youth with special needs to access one-to-one and group services. Please contact your social worker or call MCFD at 604-476-2800 and press #1 for the local office.
