Child Services, Family / Parenting, Healthcare Providers, and Mental Health - Child & Youth
Provided by SHARE Family & Community Services
Provides care for children from birth to 6 years of age with developmental delays or disabilities.
Provides programs and services for children with delayed development, early Intervention services that include speech – language physical and occupational therapies, programming for new comers and refugees, early childhood mental health support, early years community and parenting programs, drop in groups for parents, caregivers and their children and so much more.
Programs include:
- Support For Children With Delayed Development: Early intervention therapy services include occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech-language therapy.
- Child and Family Services: Provides prevention and risk reducing community-based support to families in the Tri-Cities, Anmore and Belcarra areas with children aged birth to 12 years old. This program is funded by the Ministry of Children & Family Development (MCFD). Referrals must come from a MCFD Social Worker or Child & Youth Mental Health (CYMH) Clinician.
- Early Years Community & Parenting Programs: Offers a variety of free programs to enhance and support the healthy development of families with children 0-6 years old. in Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Anmore and Belcarra. Services are offered in the following areas: early literacy and play based-learning, connection with other families, family support, and parent education and information
- SEEDS - Social Emotional Early Development Services: Counselling services for families in the Tri-Cites, Anmore and Belcarra with children aged birth to 6 years old. This program is funded by Child and Youth Mental Health (CYMH) and referrals must come from CYMH.
